Cleveland going for Knockout

Knockout Cup semi-finals to be staged tomorrow. Two evenly contested matches are scheduled for White Hill and St. John's, where Cleveland take on Police and Willow Cuts meet Bailey's Bay.

Cleveland, beaten in last year's final by St. George's, will be aiming to reach their second straight final, though they know they can expect a tough match from Police who will be aiming to add this trophy to their Central counties title.

The match at St. John's between Willow Cuts and Bailey's Bay promises to be a hot one. A few weeks ago Bay scored 303 against the Willow Cuts bowlers only to lose the match by five wickets at Sea Breeze Oval.

Last weekend the two teams were at it again, this time Willow Cuts batting until almost 6.00 in their drawn match at Somerset in the Open Competition.

Bay have a point to prove.

Also scheduled for tomorrow is the Colts Cup Match between Somerset and St.

George's at Somerset, starting at 11 a.m. while the final of the Eastern Counties takes place today at Lord's between holders St. David's and Cleveland.

Three First Division matches are also scheduled for tomorrow.
