Expert to address solid waste exposition in US

Next week, Works and Engineering chief engineer Mr. Russell Wade will address the 33rd Solid Waste Association of North America's annual solid waste exposition in Baltimore, Maryland.

Next week, Works and Engineering chief engineer Mr. Russell Wade will address the 33rd Solid Waste Association of North America's annual solid waste exposition in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Wade, who will be accompanied by Works and Engineering Minister the Hon.

Leonard Gibbons, will make a presentation entitled "Getting It Right''.

In that presentation, Mr. Wade will explain the Island's waste management system, including the incinerator, the former dump at Marsh Folly which is now being converted into a park by composting, the airport facility which deals with metals and land reclamation, the Devon Springs recycling centre, and the Sallyport hazardous waste dump in Dockyard.
