Lightbourne hoping for Premier start at Hillsborough

of his career today at one of England's most famous stadiums, Hillsborough, where Coventry play Sheffield Wednesday.

Lightbourne, who started against Blackpool in midweek in the League Cup, could stay in the team because of injuries to strikers Dion Dublin (knee) and Darren Huckerby (ankle). Manager Gordon Strachan is delaying naming his team to give more time for Dublin and Huckerby to recover.

Ironically the match is against one of the teams who were trying to sign Lightbourne during the summer when his contract at Walsall expired. In the end he joined Coventry for a transfer fee of 500,000.

Lightbourne was at the centre of an incident involving a laser gun at the Blackpool match when the gun was reportedly fired from behind the Blackpool goal while Coventry were taking a corner.

Lightbourne was seen putting his hands up to shield his eyes from the red beam which can blur a person's vision.

Security at the ground reportedly ejected the culprit from the ground and the following day reporters showed up at Coventry's training ground to speak to Lightbourne about the incident which occurred in the first half.
