New Cablevision team launches high adventure on channel 47
As part of its promise to provide better service to their customers, the new management team at Cablevision launched a new channel on the weekend... with more to come in the coming months.
National Geographic, a name renowned for exciting adventures, spectacular scenery and compelling narratives, was introduced on channel 47, in place of Bloomberg which has been moved to channel 21 in place of the TV Guide channel.
That move will eliminate the duplication of the TV Guide channel which will now exist on just Channel 7.
"We are excited about the launch of the National Geographic channel, as it marks the first in a string of new channels we plan to roll out over the next several months,'' said Jeremy Elmas, Cablevision General Manager.
"We will send a survey to our customers in the near future to find out what channels they would like to see added to our line-up and what channels they would like to eliminate from the line-up. Until then we will improve the channel line-up by reducing the amount of duplicate programming.'' The new Cablevision management is focusing on improving the product and service provided and the comprehensive survey will give all customers the opportunity to voice their opinions on viewing preferences as well as offer suggestions to Cablevision management for future improvments.
"We feel the most effective way to create positive change is by receiving feedback from the most important source, our valuable customers,'' added Mr.
Elmas.
The National Geographic channel came into effect at 12 a.m. on Saturday. For more information call Cablevision at 295-5544.
