Trevor Lindsay, 37, of Turkey Hill, St. George's pleaded guilty to obstructing Police and failing to stop for Police on June 8.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis heard that plain clothes Police saw Lindsay on Princess Street, Pembroke with an unidentified man.
Crown counsel Larry Mussenden said Lindsay rode off, and Police pursued him north on Princess Street. Officers repeatedly instructed for him to stop.
Lindsay eventually lost control of his cycle at the junction of Angle and Princess streets. When Police told him to remain still so that he could be searched, Lindsay tried to run away.
He told Police: "I was just scared.'' Mr. Francis fined Lindsay $100 for failing to stop, and $200 for obstruction.
