Police probe theft spree

A residence on Riddle's Bay Road in Warwick was broken into overnight. A black knapsack containing Oakley sunglasses, Nike running shoes, workout gear, a Favor Brooks tie and a Helly Hansen rainsuit were stolen. A set of keys were also stolen from a kitchen table.
And when the owner went outside, he noticed that his auxiliary cycle had been removed.
Extensive damage was caused to a door and window at a Bakery Lane, Pembroke business. Police have not yet determined whether access was gained into the store or if anything was stolen.
Meanwhile, a window at the Front Street branch of the Bank of N.T. Butterfield was also found smashed just before midnight.
A total of 135 newspapers were reported stolen from the door of a North Shore Road store in Pembroke early yesterday.
