BELCO closed at $18.75, trading a volume of 21,902 shares -- down 12.50 cents.

The latter's seven percent mortgage notes fell $3 to close at $102 on a volume of 165,000.

BF&M's shares dropped 12.50 cents to close at $6.50 on a trading volume of 4,300. BF&M's nine percent preference stock closed at $10.50 on a volume of 31,358, gaining 50 cents.

The Bermuda Government's 6.5 percent notes closed at $1051 , on a volume of 155,000, up 62.50 cents.

In the banking sector, the Bank of Bermuda closed at $19 trading unchanged on a volume of 24,424. The Bank of Bermuda's nine percent notes closed at $107.25, gaining 12.50 cents, on a volume of 202,000. The Bank of Butterfield stock traded unchanged to close at $32 on a volume of 66,819. Bermuda Commercial Bank closed at $103 on a volume of 3,266, gaining 25 cents.

Bermuda Aviation Services traded unchanged closing at $3.25 on a volume of 2,200. The Bermuda Bakery traded unchanged to close at $18.25 on a volume of 214.
