Police said the man entered the Pro Shop in Hamilton on Thursday afternoon, tried on a pair of Reeboks and then ran out of the store with the shoes on.

The store manager gave chase but the thief escaped.

He is described as being in his early 20s, about five-feet eight-inches tall, light brown skinned, slimly built with a short haircut.

He spoke with a West Indian accent and was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, black pants and the white and green Reeboks.
