Paint company earns KBB award
been presented to the Bermuda Paint Company.
Former President of KBB Mr. Barry Brewer handed the award to Bermuda Paint Company's Mr. Alex Outerbridge last week.
"From the sign at the front of the building, to their provocative radio and print media ads, from their industry-leading introduction of water-based non-toxic paints to their support of clean-ups and other KBB environmental initiatives, Bermuda Paint is truly deserving of this environment award,'' said Mr. Brewer.
The company was the first to introduce the environmentally friendly paint Decratone 2000 in the spring of 1992.
"As a show of commitment to Bermuda's environmental and global ecological concerns, the company intensified their message last year with their colours of survival and sounds of survival media campaigns,'' added Mr. Brewer.
"They made an effort to raise consciousness about the universal responsibility to the environment.'' Mr. Outerbridge said of the campaign: "It didn't sell a lot of paint, but it does represent our ongoing commitment to get the public to use environmentally friendly products.''
