AME elderly home under renovation

The senior citizens home, which belongs to the Bermuda Annual Conference of the AME Church, has been undergoing renovations since April.

On Thursday, those overseeing the work held a roofwetting to mark the completion of the home's kitchen.

The renovations, which include linking the men's quarters with the rest of the house, installing geriatric baths, activities' rooms, a nurse room, and a community room, are expected to be completed early next year.
