University choir to perform

Calvin Ming of the Salvation Army told The Royal Gazette that the Hamilton Citadel will be hosting the Voices of Inner Strength Gospel choir from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Calvin Ming of the Salvation Army told The Royal Gazette that the Hamilton Citadel will be hosting the Voices of Inner Strength Gospel choir from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Voices of Inner Strength was formed in 1979 and was initially known as the Black Student Alliance Choir.

The choir's members aim to show and tell all that the goodness of God emanates from an inner strength.

The 40-strong choir will perform today at the Pembroke Sunday School Hall at 7.30 p.m. Admission for the show is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Mr. Ming said the choir will also perform at City Hall at noon and at the Allen Temple AME Church in Somerset on Wednesday.

And the choir will also sing at The Salvation Army in St. George's on Thursday at 7.30 p.m.

During their week-long visit the choir will also visit schools, the elderly and at the prison.

VOICES OF INNER STRENGTH -- The 40-strong gospel choir Voices of Inner Strength will be performing at various venues during their week-long visit to Bermuda.
