The new season for the "Concert in the Park'' series starts tomorrow with a "strictly Gospel'' concert featuring 14 of Bermuda's top gospel choirs, groups and performers. The MC is disc jockey Mr. Kelly Zuill.

Corporation of Hamilton Secretary Mr. Roger Sherratt said this was the fourth year for the series, which attracts "thousands of music lovers to each event''.

The concerts are sponsored by the Bank of Butterfield and the Corporation and are designed to bring a wide variety of music to the public.

Mr. Sherratt added: "We have an outstanding series of concerts lined up for this year, from Gospel to Rock n' Roll, Big Band and Jazz. Two major concerts will be a Youth to Youth concert in May featuring the best of our young performers and an Ethnic Celebration concert in June which will focus on Bermuda's diverse cultural heritage.

"Tomorrow's Gospel concert has an incredible line up of the very finest of Bermuda's Gospel groups, and we are all looking forward to a great start to the season, weather permitting.'' The free concert is from 5 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. and the public are invited to bring along a picnic supper. The Lions canteen will also be available.
