Last night, Iris was packing winds of 90 knots with gusts to 110 and was moving northwest at five knots.

"We are expecting winds of 20 to 30 knots this evening and through Sunday, diminishing Sunday afternoon,'' he said.

He added that if winds reach 35-45 knots a tropical storm warning will be issued.

"Rain showers will start late tonight with increasing clouds and will continue through Sunday. High seas will continue outside the reef and will rise to 18 feet by tomorrow.''
