A place to off-load your old paint
drop-off has been established at 15 locations around the Island.
The places listed were Bermuda Motors, Bermuda Paint Co., Fisher Brothers, Godet & Young Ltd., Gorham's, Home Paint Supplies Co. Ltd., Standard Hardware Co. Ltd., Tools & Equipment, Pearman Watlington Home Centre, Pembroke Paint Co. Ltd., Proseal (Bermuda) Ltd., Rowe Spurling Paint Co., Sandys Hardware Co.
Ltd., SKB Coating, and Stirling Paint Services.
Another paint drop-off is available at the Tynes Bay Incinerator's public drop-off facility at Palmetto Road.
Residents can take their unused oil-based, water-based and aerosol paints, in a secure container with a tight-fitting lid, to one of the drop-offs. This is free. Empty paint cans should be placed with regular garbage.
The unwanted paint will be shipped overseas for reprocessing and disposal, Works and Engineering said.
