Court yesterday for smuggling a Polaroid camera to a prison inmate.

Police prosecutor Inspector Peter Duffy said Krystal Shiell visited a Casemates prisoner and handed him a number of objects -- among them a camera -- a prohibited item for prisoners.

Prison officers seized the item when the prisoner attempted to hand it back to Shiell on a subsequent visit on September 14.

Police were informed and Shiell was later arrested.

Shiell later claimed the camera, buried in a bag with other objects, was handed over in error.

Both the camera and film have since been seized by Police.

Magistrate the Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons told the woman she would keep her clean record if she incurred no convictions within the next three months.
