Swan finished seventh
event on a tough Eastwood course in northeast Orlando on Friday.
The Bermudian pro had a one-over par 73 on the 7,000-yard course, finishing four strokes behind winner Roger Rowland of Ocala, Florida, on 69. About 65 players participated in the tournament.
"I played solid and had four bogeys and three birdies,'' said Swan last night.
"I hit the ball good from tee to green but the greens were tricky. I'm playing for a living now so I can't afford to shoot too high which would mean finishing out of the money.'' Swan picked up a cheque of $323 for his day's work. He was one-over par at the turn after three putting number nine.
On the back nine Swan had a bogey on 12 and a birdie on 13, then "parred in'' to finish the round.
It has been a hectic week for Swan who narrowly missed qualifying for a Nike Tour event while playing in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Monday, having played last Saturday and Sunday in the Capital City Open in Washington, DC, where he placed ninth.
There is another one-day tournament in Florida today before Swan returns to the Island tomorrow.
