Upstarts 1 Panthers 4

A Dave Horan double put Panthers on the road to this comfortable win.

The game was all but over early in the first half with Panthers finding the target three times in the space of four minutes.

Mark Ray started the rout in the 12th minute after receiving a cross from Manny Faria. Chris Chapman followed with a second goal in the 14th minute.

Then Horan converted the team's first short corner in the 16th minute before adding a fourth goal from another second short corner in the 23rd.

Upstarts Bruce Smith finally struck in the 60th to put his side on the scoresheet.

Women's 'A' League

Wildcats 3 Swallows 2

Wildcats held on to come out winners in this five-goal thriller.

Brittany DeSilva scored the opening goal in the 14th minute before Suzanne Moniz grabbed a second for Wildcats in the 20th minute.

But Swallows' Joanna Kingsbury reduced the arrears in the 25th minute to make it 2-1.

Zina Jones restored the 'Cats lead in the 27th minute but again Swallows hit back through Patricia Harvey.

Women's 'B' League

Bluebirds 2 Canaries 0

Bluebirds needed two late goals in a tight contest to see off Canaries.

Maria Harris scored from a penalty corner, awarded in the 53rd minute, before Laura Bardgett netted in the final minute to secure the win.

Swallows1 Cardinals 2

Christina Allen scored the first goal of the game in the eighth minute before Jenny Burrell levelled in the 19th.

Helen Marshall was then on hand too hit home what proved to be the winner in the 64th minute.
