Last night the Category Three storm was 1,810 miles to the east southeast, and moving in a west northwest direction at ten knots. Isaac is not a threat to Bermuda at this time.

By Wednesday afternoon the tropical cyclone is expected to be 1,130 nautical miles to the Island's southeast.

Isaac's strength fluctuated over the weekend, strengthening rapidly from Thursday through to Saturday before weakening slightly yesterday to sustained winds of 100 knots and gusts to 120 knots.

The US Hurricane Center in Miami reports Isaac's eye has become less well defined than it had been.

Late yesterday Isaac was more than 1,500 miles due east of the Caribbean Islands.
