The biggest gainer for the week was Bank of Bermuda warrants up $1 to $2.50 on a volume of 3,854 for a gain of 40 percent. TeleBermuda suffered the biggest decline, about 10.34 percent, as the company's stock fell 75 cents to $7.25 on a volume of 300.
Bank of Bermuda gained $2.25 to close at $23.75 on a volume of 20,900. Bank of Butterfield rose 25 cents to close at $11.25 on a volume of 9,673. Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 25 cents to close at $4.50 on a volume of 2,227. Staples Holdings preferred rose 50 cents to close at $8 on a volume of 1,600.
Bermuda Home fell 50 cents to close at $7.50 on a volume of 12,815. Bermuda Home preferred fell 5 to close at $10 on a volume of 200. BF&M preferred fell 50 cents to close at $9 on a volume of 200. TeleBermuda fell 75 cents to close at $7.25 on a volume of 300. BELCO Holdings fell 50 cents to close at $20.50 on a volume of 200. Bermuda Telephone Co. fell $1 to close at $26 on a volume of 4,023.
Trading unchanged were Bermuda Press (Holdings) at $8 on a volume of 1,000, Stevedoring Services at $4.50 on a volume of 3,640, Corporation of Hamilton bonds at $105 on a volume of 250, and Bermuda Telephone Co. bonds at $95 on a volume of 3,000.
