broken bones following a collision on Angle Street just past the roundabout.

The female rider of the first cycle had pulled out of the parking lot of a nearby pizza parlour and the male rider of the other cycle was travelling west on Angle Street when the collision occurred.

The female rider suffered a bruised left leg and a broken knee and ankle while the male rider suffered a broken left collarbone and abrasions to his arm.

Police attended the scene of a three vehicle accident on Saturday around 3.15 p.m. on North Shore Road in Devonshire.

The mishap involved two cars and a truck. One of the cars was travelling west approaching the New Clayhouse Inn as the truck was heading east.

The two vehicles "clipped'' and the car veered across the road colliding head-on with the eastward bound second car.

Fortunately there were no injuries, although the first car was extensively damaged.

The second car sustained damage to its side panel, bumper and bonnet, while the truck was damaged on its back fender.

Police attended A.S. Coopers on Front Street on Saturday morning after security discovered that a glass pane in the front door had been smashed in.

At the time of the reporting it was not known whether full entry had been gained to the premises, or whether anything had been stolen.

A couple woke to find an intruder in their home early on Saturday morning.

The male complainant said he and his wife were woken by a noise around 2.15 a.m. and when they got up to investigate, they saw a man inside their house on Gilbert Hill in Smith's.

He immediately escaped out of a side door, and although the woman's purse appeared to have been searched, nothing was taken.
