The man told Police he was working at the XL building site, on Gorham Road in Pembroke at about 2 p.m. last week, when he ran into an old acquaintance.

The two men exchanged words, after which the suspect pointed the four-foot level at his face and began a verbal confrontation.

The victim said he tried to walk away, but his assailant struck him with the level twice. The worker received stitches for his injuries at hospital.
