The seven, all young males from the Dominican Republic and Haiti, were spotted as they disembarked from The Brilliant Star which arrived at Hamilton's Number Seven Dock from Haiti.

A Police spokesman confirmed that the seven were arrested at the dockside and never managed to get onto private property. Officers searched the area, using a specially designed camera to check water pipes, after reports that an eighth man had managed to escape. The vessel left for the Bahamas yesterday evening.
