The Police said that in the early hours of yesterday morning the man went to a Court Street nightclub where he met a woman who agreed to have sex for cash.

She took him to a house on Curving Avenue, but after they arrived another man came in brandishing a knife and demanded money. The victim handed over $285 and then fled. The Police are still investigating the robbery.

In a separate incident early yesterday morning, an elderly woman was hit in the face by an intruder she confronted in her own home.

The woman, who is in her 60s, was asleep at her home in South Road, Devonshire, when her pet dog started barking.

She woke and went to investigate, finding a six foot tall man in her living room.

He hit the woman across the face, knocking her to the floor, and then searched her handbag for cash before fleeing the apartment.

The incident occurred at about 1.35 a.m..
