Police initially suspected the 47-year-old had been in a road accident.

But staff at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital believed his injuries resulted from falling in the road following a seizure.

The man was found by a member of the public on Saturday evening and taken to a nearby house.

He was detained overnight in hospital for observations, said Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning.
