Police reported that the victim was walking on St. John's Road in Pembroke near Tulo Valley nursery when a man came behind him and demanded his money.

As he turned around, the culprit allegedly slashed him on the arm with a knife before taking his wallet and running in the direction of Spanish Point.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he required stitches.

The culprit is described as a young black male, wearing a black T-shirt, light trousers and a woollen hat. Anyone who can assist with the investigation is asked to contact Central CID at 295-0011.

A 54-year-old woman's handbag was snatched on Friday evening as she walked through Par-La-Ville Park.

Police reported that at 5.45 p.m. a man came up from behind and snatched the woman's bag off her shoulders. He then ran in the direction of the Par-La-Ville car park.

The culprit is described as being a dark-skinned male, five feet ten inches tall and medium build. He was wearing a short sleeved beige polo shirt with a green pattern, beige long pants and a baseball cap.

It is believed that the incident was witnessed by several people. Anyone who can assist with the inquiry is asked to contact central CID at 295-0011.
