is the guest speaker at an "Advanced Captive Seminar'' being held on Wednesday by the Bermuda Insurance Institute at the Princess Hotel.

Bawcutt, well known for his lively debating style, is managing director of London-based Risk & Insurance Research Group, an independent international consultancy.

He has been a consultant since the early 1970s, providing advice on a wide range of topics to major corporations, insurers, reinsurers, insurance brokers, financial institutions and governments and has worked in over 50 countries.

He is also the author of Captive Insurance Companies, joint author of Practical Risk Management and contributing author to A Textbook of Insurance Broking, European Finance Director and The Handbook of Risk Management.

A second speaker at the Advanced Captive Seminar will be Mr. Christian Dinesen, who is a senior consultant with Risk & Insurance Research Group.

The Seminar is split up into two sections -- Advanced Captive and Management Issues in the morning and International Captive Opportunities for Bermuda in the afternoon.
