Communications specialist appointed
Ministry as a communications specialist, Government announced yesterday.
Bermudian-born Mr. Dill, 33, who will help with the educational reform scheme, takes up the post on September 14.
Yesterday Dr. Marian Robinson, Permanent Secretary of Education, said she was delighted by the appointment.
"We look forward to working with him, and to being able, through him, to increase the extent of our communication with the public.'' Mr. Dill, who was educated at Saltus Grammar School and Eastbourne College, England, and gained a BA (Hons) degree in American literature and history at Hull University, has been with the Mid-Ocean News two years.
This year he won the Ridgeway Award for Excellence in Journalism for his story on the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, "A Golden Opportunity''.
During the 1980s he worked with the Bermuda Broadcasting Company as a reporter, creative writer, and sound studio manager.
