died at his home in Oakville, Canada.

Brigadier Lewis, who was divisional commander in Bermuda from 1974-78, died at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in Oakville at the age of 88.

He was well-known in many circles during his time on the Island and was an active member of the Rotary Club.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Winifred.
