BSX ends the week up
in positive territory. The index closed up 21.318 points at 1,527.91, representing a 1.40 percent increase on the week.
In an active week, seven shares gained ground while two prices fell.
Winners included the Bank of Bermuda Ltd., up $1.00 to close at $31.00; Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Ltd, which gained 40 cents to close the week at $17.40, the stock's 52-week high; and Bermuda Commercial Bank also rose, up 25 cents on the week to close at $7.00.
Island Press Ltd. put on $1.25 for the week, to close at $4.25; Bermuda Computer Services Ltd. gained 50 cents to close at $12.50 and Belco Holdings also put on 50 cents. It closed the week at $21.50. Two issues lost ground during the week: Bank of Bermuda warrants dropped $1 to close at $6.00 and Devonshire Industries Ltd. closed out the week at $8.00, down $2.00.
