Secondary student who caused $7,000 worth of damage to a National Trust Property.

Henry Anthony Bovell of Sunnyside Park, Southampton, admitted breaking into Masthead Communications in Somerset with other boys on March 24, 1997. He also pleaded guilty to causing wilful damage to equipment and the interior and exterior walls.

Sgt. Anthony Mouchette, prosecuting, said Bovell broke into the building with other boys and stole coins, a camera, compact disc player, nine computer discs and other equipment worth $1,397.12.

The total damage to the premises, which is on the National Trust's historic Springfield property, was in the region of $7,000.

Magistrate Edward King ordered a social inquiry report for Bovell and bailed him to return on June 13 for sentence.
