The position was advertised following the resignation of three of the BLDC's top executives earlier this year.

Chief executive officer Carl Musson announced his resignation in the last week of January and was replaced by George Smith on March 1.

Mr. Smith confirmed that both communications and marketing manager Don Grearson and vice-president in charge of engineering Peter Uhlman resigned from their posts at the end of March.

The trio of executives quit earlier this year under United Bermuda Party speculation that Government's "interference'' was responsible for the resignations.

MEN IN HEROIC RESCUE MISSION RES Men in heroic rescue mission Two men made a heroic rescue of a 20-month-old boy last week.

The little boy had wandered away from his father when he fell into the water off North Shore Road, Pembroke on Wednesday.

The two men happened to be passing by the area and saw the child floating unconscious in the water.

One of the men dived into the water and retrieved the little boy. His father and one of the men resuscitated the boy using CPR.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and spent a night in the intensive care unit and a night in a general ward before being released on Friday.

MARINE POLCE MAKE ARREST CRM Marine Police make arrest Marine Police arrested a 30-year-old Sandys man on Saturday afternoon after he was allegedly seen spearfishing within a mile of the shoreline.

Police attended an area just north of Lantana Guest Houses in Sandys and questioned the suspect, before arresting him.

Officers recovered the spear and other items. He was questioned and released on Police bail to reappear at a later date.
