Weapon costs man $250
cost a man $250.
Chiske Spencer, 18, of Limehouse Lane, Hamilton Parish, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court last week to charges of having an offensive weapon.
The court heard how on June 10 uniformed Police officers, acting on information received, went to Admiralty House Park to investigate complaints of drug use.
When they approached the park, they saw a group of youths in the parking lot.
Spencer was informed that he would be searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The weapon was found in his pants pocket.
When asked about the weapon, Spencer said: "There are some sick fools out there. Someone may come at me with a knife. But I'm a big guy, if they want to box, I'll box.'' Spencer was arrested and later told Police that he had never used the weapon.
He was fined $250 and Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered that the weapon be disposed of by Police.
