attacks over the weekend.

In the first incident, a 24-year-old Devonshire woman claimed to have been subjected to a serious sexual assault at around 3.45 a.m. on Sunday.

Details of the incident are unclear at present. The alleged attack is currently being investigated by the Police major incident room.

And in two other separate incidents, a woman required hospital treatment for various injuries after being left lying in the road, following a beating by a man near a South Shore restaurant.

And another woman was hurt, resulting in hospital treatment, after a man attacked her with a golf club.

In the first incident, a 32-year-old Warwick woman suffered a broken nose, broken collarbone and swelling to both eyes after an assault by a man close to Paw Paws restaurant on South Shore at 10.30 p.m. on Saturday.

The argument was over money. The woman was punched, pushed to the ground and kicked in the head, before being left in the road -- bleeding profusely. The assailant, who is known to the victim, ran off.

She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial hospital for treatment and later released.

Later, in the early hours of Sunday, a woman claimed a man had attacked her car while she was inside, and then set about her, causing injuries requiring hospital treatment.

The incident happened on Marl Lane, Warwick, where a 26-year-old woman said she had been involved in an altercation with a male.

The man allegedly used a golf club and piece of concrete to smash front and rear windows, and damage the bodywork of the Daihatsu Charade.

He then hit the woman with the golf club but left before Police arrived on the scene.

The woman suffered bruising to her face, arms and hands. She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and later released.
