For the Police team -- led by Inspector LeGay Farley -- have recovered a firearm believed to have been used in the robbery.

A Police spokesman said: "Substantial progress is being made in the investigation and it is expected that someone will be appearing in court in the near future.'' The gas station in Dundonald Road was hit by a raider at about 10 p.m. on December 10.

He snatched around $600 before escaping, pursued by staff at the gas station.

The staff almost caught the man and succeeded in knocking some of the money out of his hands and knocking a bag off his shoulder.

But the gunman escaped after firing three shots at his pursuers and fleeing along Princess Street.
