is currently placed 20th after two rounds of the Tommy Armour Tour tournament in Florida.

The St. George's pro followed Wednesday's first round score of 73 with a splendid three-under-par 68 yesterday for an overall total of 141 heading into today's third and final round at the Kissimmee Bay Country Club.

After struggling with his putting during the opening day's play, missing several short putts, Swan rediscovered his touch around the greens just in time to move closer to the leaders and a shot at some prize money.

Swan was understandably pleased with his performance.

"I'm right in the hunt,'' said Swan. "I feel good. I'm hitting the ball well and on every hole I'm in position to attack the pin.

"My confidence is high. It's the best I've hit the ball in my whole life and I feel I can get better... that's the frightening thing.'' Making the turn at an even-par-36, Swan pulled out all the stops on the back nine to the tune of three-under-32, hitting 14 greens overall in regulation.

Swan, who won $587 last week after finishing tied for fourth at the Polo Trace tournament in Palm Beach, Florida, credited his recent success to stints at the David Leadbetter Academy where he had his whole game "reconstructed''.

Also noted was the increased level of competition, which led Swan to conclude: "You have to be out here walking among the lions if you want to be a lion.''
