Bank of Bermuda Ltd. fell 50 cents to $30 on a volume of 1,000 and BELCO Holdings Ltd. fell $1 to $20 on a volume of 67,173.

Only two other issues traded, both closing unchanged. They included Bank of Butterfield with a volume of 5,281 which remained at $16.50 and Watlington Waterworks remaining at $6 after 100 shares changed hands.

The FT/BSX Bermuda Insurance Index tumbled 35.6 points or 4.25 percent to 802.84 as US markets plunged.
