prison sentence for failing to attend Regiment duties.

Archibald, of Albert Road, Ireland Island, had pleaded guilty at an earlier Magistrates' Court hearing to three charges relating to Regiment attendance.

Yesterday he appeared for sentencing before Senior Magistrate Will Francis who heard that at the time of the offences Archibald was the sole bread winner for his mother and two sisters.

The court was told that Archibald had also undergone orthoscopic surgery, which was still healing.

Mr. Francis sentenced Archibald to two months in prison, suspended for two years, on each of the three charges.
