Youth Tournament which begins here next weekend.

Smith, who has only recently taken over the captaincy of the International Youth Team which plays in the First Division, was confirmed to the post this week by coach Terry Ward.

Earlier in the season Justin Robinson and Dale Benjamin had both led the side.

Smith's vice captain will be Quinton Sherlock, the only player remaining from the last tournament in Holland in 1995. Sherlock has just rejoined the team, having been abroad in school on a golf scholarship.

Other members of the Bermuda squad confirmed are Chris Foggo, Coolridge Durham, Monroe Darrell, Jaja Millett, Don Vickers, Dale Benjamin and Justin Robinson.

The round robin tournament, which involves seven teams, starts next Sunday and runs to July 13 with three matches each day.

Bermuda are two-time former winners of the tournament, triumphing in 1979 under Charlie Marshall and in 1985 when Darrin Lewis was captain.
