sentenced for stalking.

Kevin Eugene Daniels, 38, of St. John's Road, was remanded in custody after he yesterday admitted in Magistrates' Court to stalking the three women.

Between December 27 last year and February 23, Daniels confessed to stalking Mary Maybury, Oneika Salam and Dawn Ottley by telephoning the women at work and leaving electronic messages, causing them to fear for their safety.

He also pleaded guilty to intruding on the privacy of Ms Salam, causing her to become alarmed.

Ms Maybury filed an official complaint with Police after receiving regular and obscene phone calls from Daniels.

During the calls, Ms Maybury said Daniels would "vulgarly'' explain how he wanted to have oral sex and intercourse with her.

Ms Maybury was at the time unaware that the man she often saw walking past her store and staring through the window was the perpetrator.

Both Ms Salam and Ms Ottley, who were employed at the same Hamilton business, also told Police that they had received obscene phone calls from a man, now known as Daniels.

The women claimed Daniels would call, breath heavily into the phone and tell them how he wanted to "pull their clothes off and have sex''.

Ms Salam also reported that on February 23 Daniels phoned her and said he would wait for her after work so they could have sex.

That same day, Police arrested Daniels and took him to the Hamilton Police Station where he admitted the offences.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis yesterday ordered a psychiatric report to be carried out before sentencing Daniels, who has a long list of previous convictions.
