Youngsters to take on MCC

Club today at Southampton Oval (11 a.m.), with the Bermuda Cricket Board of Control having selected a side containing several Bermuda under-19 players.

Lone veteran Stevie Lightbourne will lead the band of youngsters as they attempt to notch a first victory for a Bermuda side against the tourists, who have dispatched all manner of opposition in the four matches played thus far.

The BCBC Select have come closest thus far to victory, falling seven runs short on Tuesday after giving MCC a scare with both bat and ball.

Today's Select is not expected to be as competitive, however the experience could be useful for the youngsters as they prepare for this summer's under-19 regional competition, with the winner going on to the World Cup.

Dion Stovell and Jacobi Robinson will lead the bowling attack, Robinson having already claimed one wicket from just two overs during Tuesday's match, while Mark Smith, Chris Foggo, Landro Minors and Lightbourne will be counted on for the bulk of Bermuda's runs.
