POLICE OFFICER SAYS THANKS POL Police officer says thanks A Police officer this week thanked the public for assisting in the arrest of a gas station robber.

Det. Con. Cal Smith said he was grateful to those members of the public who assisted him and his colleague Sgt. Chris Graham-Ward in the arrest which occurred at the Esso City Service Station on Richmond Road on Saturday morning.

CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS UP TOU Cruise ship passengers up Passenger numbers this week were at the highest for the year on some cruise ships. Record numbers of passengers for 1995 arrived on board cruise ships Horizon and Dreamward .

Horizon which arrived from New York on Monday with 1,469 passengers on board just beat out Dreamward which arrived the same day with 1,340 passengers.
