Mr. Terceira, a former resident manager at Marriott's Castle Harbour Hotel, moved to New Jersey about a year ago to become general manager of the Park Ridge Marriott.

Then in June, he was asked to manage the Saddle Brook Marriott, to provide leadership to a hotel that had just undergone a $3.5-million renovation.

In his latest position, Mr. Terceira will continue as general manager of Saddle Brook Marriott, while assuming direct responsibility for the Park Ridge Marriott and the Mawah Courtyard Marriott. The latter two hotels will have their own general managers reporting to Mr. Terceira, the son of Dr. Hon. C.R.

The purpose of the market general manager position is to provide leadership to the "markets of Marriott Hotels'' in terms of being a leadership resource, assuring alignment with brand standards, and to take advantage of revenue and cost savings opportunities for a group of hotels.

Mr. Terceira has been given the responsibility of leading the Northern New Jersey Revenue Management Team to include a fourth hotel, the Glen Pointe Marriott in Teaneck, New Jersey.
