Seminar to feature Goins
biennial Regional Bank Legal Seminar, to be hosted by the BMA Monday to Wednesday at the Princess Hotel.
The Caribbean Centre for Monetary Studies is acting jointly with the BMA in sponsoring the seminar and Centre director, Dr. Laurence Clarke, is attending.
Ms Goins will present a paper entitled The Challenges of Globalisation & Technological Developments for Supervisors.
Hers is one of nine papers being presented during the three days involving topics that include Independence of Central Banks; Legal Issues in Mergers & Acquisitions; Problem Financial Institutions -- Framework for Resolution; and, Recent Developments Relating to Money Laundering Legislation, Particularly from the Perspective of Offshore Centres.
The sessions are open to interested lawyers and others. The BMA has already invited representatives of the Attorney General's Chambers, government departments, the banks and law firms to attend.
