Mr. Morris joined the firm in April, 1988 as an associate in the companies department and spent two and a half years in the firm's Hong Kong office, specialising in finance and securities, before returning home in January, 1994.

The graduate of Berkeley Institute attended the Bermuda College, and in 1981 and 1983 received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters of Arts degree in Economics respectively at Dalhousie University.

In 1986 he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the London School of Economics.

The following year he completed the professional examination at the Council of Legal Education in England and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in November, 1987. He was called to the Bermuda Bar in April, 1988.

Mr. Morris, a member of the firm's Law Students Committee, is involved with the distribution of the firm's legal education scholarship and liaises with Bermuda law students.
