from a house in Devonshire on Tuesday.

A female resident spotted the man with several carrybags at the rear of her house in Poinciana Estates at 4.30 p.m. and screamed for help.

The thief dropped the bags and tried to flee but was grabbed by her neighbours.

They then called Police and the 59-year-old culprit was arrested at the scene.

When Police examined the bags, they found several items had come from the woman's house.

The man, who is thought to have gained entry through a window, was taken to Hamilton Police Station for questioning.

A Hewlett-Packard computer printer was stolen from St. George's Prep School on Queen Street, St. George's, over the weekend.

The printer was secured in an inside room on Friday and there were no signs of a forced entry.

DRIVER TOOK A WRONG TURN CTS Driver took a wrong turn An investment systems analyst spent the night in jail after turning onto a one-way road, going the wrong way whilst over the drink-driving limit.

Darren Diaz, 29, of Rosemont Avenue, Pembroke, was driving south on King Street Friday October 13 when he turned right onto Church Street.

When Police stopped him, they noticed Diaz's eyes were glazed and smelled of intoxicants. They asked if he had been drinking.

Diaz said: "I had two or three. I'm sorry.'' He pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, yesterday in Magistrates' Court.

Magistrate Edward King fined Diaz $750 and disqualified him from driving all vehicles for 12 months.
