the Index climb from a week-ending close of 904.55 on April 18 to 1062.99 last Friday. Yesterday the Index was unchanged at 1098.08, just below the psychological 1100 mark. (See story in Today's news).

Much of the strength of the recovery has been due to the recent recoveries of the stock prices of the Banks of Bermuda and Butterfield which are trading at 52-week highs.
