testing returned to work yesterday and accepted their demotions.

Two of the three tested positive while the third is awaiting his results.

The trio had protested that not enough warning was given before a urine test for drugs was conducted several weeks ago.

The men complained they had not been given a fair chance and that they should have had six to eight weeks warning of the test.

Chief Executive Officer at Watlington Waterworks Allan Rance said the men returned to work at the Devonshire plant yesterday morning.

Mr. Rance said the men had returned to the job and started work as drivers' assistants.

Company policy dictates that if the men complete drug counselling with the Employee Assistance Programme and there are positions available, they can be promoted.

The results of the company-wide tests were given out at the end of last week.
