The church was turned down by the Development Applications Board three times in its attempts to expand its facilities to handle its booming Sunday school classes which attract between 85 and 110 students each week.

But the application for a "proposed multi-purposed hall on upper level to house various functions and four-foot, four-inch sea wall with planters'' received planning permission yesterday.

The church's minister, the Rev. Dorothy Tuzo, could not be reached for comment on the announcement yesterday.
