According to the latest updates from the Bermuda Weather Service, Lili packing heavy rains and sustained winds of 70 mph, was 120 nautical miles from Havana.

Forecaster Dick Nelis told The Royal Gazette last night still classifying Lili as a potential threat to the Island.

"It's fairly a tight little storm, quite compact,'' Mr. Nelis said. "There may be a little strengthening after she passes Cuba.'' As of 6 p.m. yesterday, the weather service put Lili some 1130 nautical miles south of Bermuda.

In the next 72 hours Lili's closest point of approach will bring her 460 nautical miles southwest of the Island.
