they appeared in Magistrates' Court this week.

Paco Taleiph Fubler, 19, of Sunset View Road, Pembroke, and Jevon Ashley Bean, 20, of Stadium Heights, Devonshire, were charged with robbing Michael Greaves of $264 around 3 a.m. on February 3.

They were also charged with assaulting Greaves and doing him grievous bodily harm.

Crown Counsel Mr. Brian Calhoun said that while he did not oppose the men being granted bail, given their youth, he argued that there should be sufficient conditions in place to ensure society would be protected.

Mr. Calhoun asked the court for strict reporting conditions and that the men be required to surrender their travel documents.

Mr. Lawrence Scott, representing both men, said he would be "a little concerned'' if the court were to require them to surrender their travel documents.

"If the reporting conditions were strict enough, that should be enough,'' he argued.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis imposed a midnight to 6 a.m. curfew, and released both men on $1,000 bail and one surety. He ordered both accused to surrender their passports and report to Hamilton Police Station every Wednesday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Fubler and Bean will reappear in Magistrates' Court on March 14. In a separate matter, Fubler pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Sgt. Rex Osborne, prosecuting, said that Police spotted Fubler on King Street.

When they approached him, he threw a knife away. The knife, which had a five inch blade, was recovered.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report and released Fubler on $500 bail. He will reappear in Magistrates' Court on March 7.
